The camera's lens and IR LED field swivel around to take the pictures from the zone motion is detected in. The upside is you can cover a TON of ground with just one camera. The downside is there are quite a few moving parts that traditional cameras don't have.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe camera's 1\/4\" x 20 tripod insert is located on the bottom of the camera. As you would expect, this camera does not have a cable bracket as locking this unit would be nearly impossible when used the way it is designed. The case of the camera has a solid, sturdy feel.
